First three cookies. From the top is the Chocolate Chip + Walnut Cookies, Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies and Crispy Oatmeal Cookies

So this week’s MyOrangePot’s HQ kitchen is all about cookies. Cookies and more cookies.

I’ve spoken about this one very brave mouse in a post earlier in the year, so I won’t go on about it anymore. But simply put, I pledged 20 batches of cookies and 1 tray of brownies and 1 tray of Ultimate Chocolate Cupcake for Sarah’s big row across the North Pacific Ocean. She will row an ocean, and as a support – I make cookies.

This simply means that by Wednesday April 18, 2012:

  • The cookies must be baked,
  • All cooked cookies must be frozen solid like a rock
  • They then need to be transported to Choshi
  • At the marina, Sarah will vacuum pack the lot in any combination she likes
  • And finally all of the vacuum packed cookies must be stowed away inside Gulliver’s many hiding places.

Yours truly, on Day 2 of baking.

The deed is finally done. It took a total of 4 nights to cook all of these. Below is what Little Rower Girl will have onboard:

1.       Chocolate Chip + Walnut Cookies

2.       Chocolate-Chocolate-Chip Cookies

3.       Raisin + Walnut Cookies

4.       Tigger + Pooh Bear Gingersnap Cookies

**Please do let me  know if you want any of the recipes in the comment box. The recipes will eventually go up on the site, but it will be posted on priority order.

The 4th kind: Tigger + Pooh Bear Gingersnap Cookies bearing happy messages. You’ve got a friend in me!

Since MyOrangePot’s HQ freezer space cannot hold all the cookies, I have also scouted a neighbor’s freezer (Thank you, Mairi!). So we’re all good to go!

Happy rowing, Sarah! Good luck and be safe! And above all…. HAVE FUN!

Cookie Monster approved cookies? I think so!

Cookies safely delivered on April 21, 2012 at Choshi Marina. Little Rower Girl here and her stash. 🙂 Happy days!

P.S. Sarah Outen has now finished her final preparation from the new home base in Choshi and is on standby. Weather permitting, she is hoping to leave on April 28, 2012.

Let us all turn East and blow really hard and keep that weather window open for Sarah!
